Core Responsibilities:
The main objective oh the Software Test Engineer is to ensure that software releases meet quality standards before deployment by validating functionality under realistic field scenarios.
Main Activities:
- Execute manual testing of new software releases
- Validate product functionality in real operational scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and usability testing
- Execute testing on real systems and configured environments
- Validate software against acceptance criteria defined by Product Owner, PMO, and Development
- Translate specifications into detailed test plans and validation checklists
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or ambiguities in requirements and provide feedback
- Document, track, and manage defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Work closely with DevOps to integrate testing into the release pipeline
- Collaborate with Application Engineering R&D to reproduce and validate field issues
