Hiring Company: for a world-leading producer of professional coffee and vending machines, our Recruitment Engineers are looking for a R&D MANAGER - PAYMENT SYSTEMS & DIGITAL SOLUTIONS.

Core Responsibilities: 

The R&D Manager will lead the development of payment systems and digital solutions within the Electronics R&D Team.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership and project management skills.

She/He will be responsible for driving the development of hardware, firmware, mobile, and cloud -based solutions, leading a team of 3–5 engineers, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept

to market launch. This role requires a broad product vision, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate both internal resources and external partners in a dynamic and innovation -driven environment.

Main activities:

• Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary R&D team of 3 –5 engineers, fostering technical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth

• Drive the development of payment systems and digital solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and product strategy

• Manage Hardware, Firmware, Mobile, and Cloud development projects throughout their complete lifecycle

• Define technical roadmaps, product architectures, and technology choices in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders

• Coordinate the integration of embedded devices, mobile applications, cloud platforms, and backend services

• Ensure effective collaboration among Hardware, Firmware, Software, and Product teams to achieve successful product delivery

• Lead technical problem-solving activities, identifying root causes and driving robust corrective actions

• Manage technical activities performed by external partners and suppliers, ensuring quality, timelines, and compliance with requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• Proven experience in R&D, engineering management, or technical leadership roles

• Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Solid understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and electronics

• Ability to read and understand electronic schematics

• Experience managing complex projects involving hardware, software, mobile, and cloud technologies

• Strong product-oriented mindset with a global view of system design, customer needs, and business objectives

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Results-driven approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast -paced environment

• Experience collaborating with external development partners and suppliers

Desiderable Competencies:

• Experience in electronic payment systems, fintech, POS solutions, or self -service devices

• Knowledge of Android and iOS application development

• Familiarity with Cloud platforms and backend architectures

• Experience with IoT and connected devices

• Knowledge of C, Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Experience working in international and cross -functional organizations

Contract Offered:

CCNL Metalmeccanico, full time, permanent contract 

Compensation:

RAL: from 45.000 €, commensurate with experience, skills, and seniority
